Mustang owners are always searching for ways to improve the performance of their rides. Whether you’re building a drag racer, road racer or just the ultimate street performer, one thing we can all agree on is that reducing weight of the vehicle is never a bad thing.
Steeda Autosports is a familiar name in the Mustang aftermarket. For more than 20 years, they have been at the forefront of design, engineering and manufacturing high-quality performance parts. Steeda has spent countless hours testing and developing some of the best suspension parts available for the 2005-2014 Mustang. One particularly well-engineered piece I’m fond of is their Mustang Watts Link Suspension. The engineers at Steeda also know that reducing the Mustang’s weight, particularly on the front end, is a great way to improve balance and overall performance of the vehicle. One way to reduce front-end weight is with Steeda’s new lightweight radiator support brace.
The Steeda Lightweight Radiator Support has been designed, tested (both on race tracks and with FEA simulation), manufactured, and assembled in-house. TIG and MIG welded from thin-wall chromoly steel tubing and mild steel stampings. The piece comes with a powdercoat finish for looks and corrosion resistance. It completely replaces the factory radiator support assembly and works with or without the swaybar; also with or without the factory Z-brace found underneath the 2011+ GT models. Fits the OE, Steeda, or most aftermarket front swaybars.
• Lightweight thin-wall tubing
• Optional use of swaybar or Z-brace
• Lower splash shield can be re-used (with zip-ties)
The Steeda Mustang Lightweight Radiator Support is available now for $199.95.
