Internal combustion engines are a torrent of friction, fire and heat, and the only thing that keeps them running is proper lubrication. Without a consistent flow of oil an engine will quickly suffer damage or worse, a catastrophic failure. Unfortunately, this all-important fluid is housed in the most vulnerable part of your engine, and can easily be damaged by errant road debris or by bottoming out. Luckily for owners of lowered and off-road vehicles, Trans Dapt Performance Products offers its Slam-Guard armored oil pans to save your engine from certain doom, and give you the confidence needed to keep moving down the road or trail.

Driving a lowered street car or off-road vehicle is all about having fun. Time spent behind the wheel should be carefree and all about enjoying everything the road, or lack thereof, has in store. But whenever you have a vehicle with reduced ground clearance or you are negotiating less than smooth trails, you’re constantly worried about damaging your oil pan and being stranded with a broken down car or truck. Trans-Dapt’s Slam-Guard oil pans alleviate this worry, thanks to an armored skid plate. This 3/16” steel plate helps your oil pan resist punctures and pan deformation that can reduce or completely cut-off the flow of oil to the engine.

Each Trans Dapt Slam-Guard Oil Pan’s armor plate is securely integrated into the pan by removing the sump floor and perimeter welding the heavy-duty armor plate into position by hand. Slam-Guard pans are available for one-piece and two-piece rear main seal Small Block Chevys, Windsor-based Small Block Fords for passenger cars, and Jeep/AMC 304, 360, and 401 V8s.
