When you think about iconic muscle cars of the 1960s, chances are that you are thinking about a car built on GM’s A-Body platform. Underpinning everything from the popular Chevrolet Chevelle and El Camino to the rarer Pontiac GTO, Buick Gran Sport and Oldsmobile 442, these exceptional automobiles have once again seen their popularity skyrocket as a new generation of muscle car enthusiasts expresses its need for speed by fusing GM’s modern LS-engines with these classic rides. Now with Hedman Husler’s Mid-Length LS-Swap Headers for the GM A-Body, enthusiasts can extract every last bit of power from their modern powerplants without having to worry about denting their primaries.

Hedman Husler’s mid-length headers are engineered to maximize exhaust flow and ground clearance, delivering nearly the gains of a full length header without the associated ground clearance issues. Designed to fit 1964-1967 and 1968-1972 GM A-Bodies equipped with transplanted LS engines and T-56, 4L60E, 4L65E, or 4L80E transmissions, these headers are available with large 1 ¾-inch primaries and 3-inch collectors to complement everything from the basic street build to the heaviest breathing naturally aspirated or supercharged engines.

Manufactured in the U.S.A., Hedman Husler’s LS swap headers are constructed with beefy, 3/8-inch flanges that keep the mandrel-bent primary tubes firmly attached to the engine, even under harsh driving conditions, while the integrated ball-and-socket flange collector provides a durable, gasket-free seal. These headers are available in your choice of either an uncoated finish (Part# 45180 and 45540), silver HTC high-temp ceramic-metallic coating (Part# 45186 and 45546), or in Hedman Husler’s new Black Maxx black ceramic coating (Part# 45183 and 45543).

Mounting hardware, gaskets, O2 bungs and installation instructions are included with the headers. For a guaranteed fit, it is STRONGLY recommended that the companion Muscle Rods LS swap conversion mount kits, which were designed at the same time as the headers, be used during installation (mount kits sold separately). This ensures that the engine is properly located in the engine bay, and that the factory recommended 3 to 5 degree pinion angle is maintained.
