Nissan North America, Inc., debuts the all new, dramatically styled 350-horsepower NISMO Z ® and the bold new convertible 370Z Roadster at the 2009 New York Auto Show (04/07/2009).
The new 370Z Roadster features a power-operated, fully-lined fabric top with a glass rear window. The top can be lowered or raised with an interior-mounted switch or from the smart key. Even the latching mechanism is automatic, making the top a single button affair. A glass wind blocker between the headrests keeps buffeting to a minimum.
The 2009 NISMO Z features a number of aerodynamic upgrades over the standard 370Z including a larger rear wing, new front valance and front splitter. The NISMO Z comes standard with 19-inch RAYS, ultra-lightweight wheels wrapped in Yokohama Advan Sport tires. The suspension and brakes get performance upgrades and the V6 gets a bump from 332hp to 350hp at 7,400 rpm, via ECU tuning and a free-flowing exhaust. A six-speed manual transmission is the only one offered.
