Where to go off-roading near Los Angeles?
I was thinking of testing out the off-road capabilities of my Jeep Wrangler. It's a 4-door Sahara model. I'm a little nervous about damaging it but hey it's a Jeep so what good is it if I don't go off-road. I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions for areas around Los Angeles that might be fun. Thoughts?

Loads of places near the L.A. Area, Gorman is fun, and right around Grapevine on the I5 been many times. Lot's of people and vehicles so if you get into trouble you can get help. Closer? yes, take a look at the maps at Trails.com below you will find it better then me spouting them out. Just make sure you have at least a tow strap... Just in case. An Ice chest of cold ones are also is suggested for after the drive. Many of the places also do camping as well.
