I haven’t seen the final specs for the drag package but from what I’ve read the 2009 Dodge Challenger Drag Race Package (Mopar) has three available engine options: 5.7 liter or 6.1 liter HEMI V-8, or a 360 cubic-inch Magnum Wedge V-8 with either a automatic or manual (6-speed) transmission.

The street versions HP is rated between 375 - 425 hp, so it’s safe to say that the all three engine options will provide greater horse power.

They are apparently also getting rid of the body sealer, ventilation system, airbags, rear seats, and sound deadening. The windshield wiper system and side/read impact beams have also been removed (don’t plan on being street legal). The drag version will be about 1000 lbs lighter than the street version (SRT8).

It does comes with a composite life-off hood (way cool), manual rack-and-pinion steering, lightweight brake system and cable throttle linkage. The wheelbase is a half inch shorter.

Pricing low to mid $30,000s.
