What is a faster but still stronger engine than the 460 big block?
I wanna be able to race my truck. She's a 78 Ford F250 XLT ranger w/ a 460 big block and a 10 bolt differential and 3/4 of 1 ton.

I'm not sure what you mean by "faster" engine than the 460. Depending on what kind of racing you intend on doing, why not just modify the 460 you have? There are some great parts for that engine including heads, intakes, cams, etc. Check out parts from Trick Flow and Edelbrock.
