I would like to know what suspension setup to use for my 73 e-body cuda.
I would like to convert to a rack n pinion setup with coil over springs. I want to put a new gen 6.1 hemi with auto overdrive in the car. The car will be built to be driven daily. What type of rear suspension is best 4 link 3 link?
Typically, a 4-link is better for drag racing, although some triangulated 4 links work well on the street. The 3-link works well too. The 2005+ Mustang uses a 3-link with a panhard bar and they handle great for a live axle car. Still, I'm not so sure you need to swap out the rear suspension for something custom, unless you want to. The guys at Hotchkis have a great suspension package for your E-Body Mopar. Check out the link below and watch the video at the end of the Blog article.
Front end choices are alterkation, magnum force and capautoparts.com. The capautoparts doesn't have mounts for the new gen hemi, but magnum force makes an engine mount swap kit that should work, even in the capsautoparts and alterkation K members.
Rear end choices, none. No bolt on that I know of.
There are a few options though. There is a good tech articile at hotrod that shows how to install independent suspension on a muscle car.
