I had a question about the car's wheels and its effect on the suspension.
I've had issues with my car not having a smooth ride, but the problem exacerbated after I installed new rims. I first went to a firestone store to give me a quote for an entire suspension change (struts, shocks etc.) - It was costing me around $1000 for all four wheels. But then I had a discussion with a local mechanic who said that my rims could be a problem. He said that the custom wheels do not give, specially if they are designed for racing. The thing is that I really like my (black) wheels, but I am not sure what next step should I take. I don't even know where the problem is. The car rattles a lot and I could really feel every bump (loud bang) as if there are no tires on the car. Could the wheels or the tires be an issue? And not the suspension? Could you give me some advice on how to go about solving this. Whom should I go to?

Video: 1967 Nickey Camaro Vettefest Feature Video V8TV
