Pioneer AVH In-Dash A/V ReceiversComplete Multi-Media Hub for Your Automobile Pioneer also announced five new in-dash multi-media receivers designed to deliver exceptional audio and video entertainment, portable device connectivity and enhanced communication capability to the automotive environment. The “AVH” series multi-media receivers consist of three double DIN units, the AVH-P3200DVD, AVH-P3200BT and AVH-P4200DVD, and two single DIN models, AVH-P5200DVD and AVH-P5200BT. These models boast large touch screen displays from 5.8 to 7 inches and include a variety of features such as the enhanced touch slide user interface, Apple iPod / iPhone control, USB connectivity, SD card playback, Bluetooth, and navigation upgradeability.

With such a wide range of capabilities, Pioneer identified the need to create a simpler, more intuitive user interface for the AVH series multi-media receivers. This was accomplished by utilizing Pioneer’s advanced touch slide user interface, which has greatly eliminated the need to have multiple layers of menus within the control architecture. The touch slide interface enables users to quickly navigate through the control menus by touching and dragging the text on the screen. This also allows the user to easily navigate through large media lists and, when applicable, to search and sort by artist, album, song and genre. Users can fast forward and rewind through DivX, MP3, WMA and AAC compressed audio files on DVD/CD discs and USB connected devices by simply touching and sliding on the playback progress indicator displayed on the screen.
The
2010 Pioneer Audio/Video systems will be available in March 2010 ranging in suggested retail prices from $450 to $700.

Pioneer GM Digital Series AmplifiersClass-D Amps That Package High Power Into Compact Design Pioneer Electronics introduced three new high-efficiency “GM Digital” series Class-D amplifiers; the 4-channel GM-D9500F, the monoblock GM-D8500M and GM-D7500M. Inherent to Class-D amplifier design are vastly improved electrical and thermal efficiencies, allowing the amplifiers to produce the same power output as conventional amplifiers more than double their physical size. The new Pioneer GM Digital series Class-D amplifiers feature dynamic, balanced sound quality combined with high power output, all in an extremely compact chassis.
Pioneer’s GM Digital series Class-D amplifiers are 80-90 percent more efficient than those of traditional class A/B design. The monoblock GM-D8500M and GM-D7500M are engineered specifically to power in-vehicle subwoofers and feature 2 ohm stability allowing them to deliver high power and high current in a wide variety of configurations, from a single subwoofer to multiple subwoofer applications. The 4-channel GM-D9500F completes the line-up of GM Digital series by providing a matching full-range Class-D amplifier featuring the same electrical and thermal efficiencies and the same compact chassis design. The combination of the GM-D9500F with either of the GM Digital monoblock amplifiers provides the foundation of a truly high performance car audio system in a footprint that takes up less than 2 square feet of space.

For car audio enthusiasts, the GM series amps look as good as they sound. They feature a simple yet classy and modern cosmetic design perfect for custom installation displays. Each unit features black, aluminum die-cast heat sinks and a hairline silver aluminum top plate for maximum heat dissipation.
The new four-channel GM-D9500F produces 75 Watts X 4 while the monoblock GM-D8500M provides 300 Watts X 1 and the GM-D7500M produces 200 Watts X 1.
The
GM-D9500F,
GM-D8500M and
GM-D7500M will be available in January 2010 for suggested retail prices of $270, $280 and $200 respectively.
Pioneer Stage 4 Flagship Audio ProductsNew Stage 4 System Exemplifies Pure Performance and Audio Excellence In the pursuit of pure sound perfection, Pioneer announced a complete ultra performance, reference standard audio system designed and engineered specifically for car audiophiles and music enthusiasts seeking the ultimate in-vehicle listening experience. Exemplifying Pioneer’s audio heritage, the Stage 4 products are created using advanced materials and innovative technologies with the goal of achieving the most accurate audio reproduction. Stage 4 audio components consist of the new DEX-P99RS, a single CD tuner/digital media player, four new high-performance amplifiers, the new 2010 PRS series of component speaker systems and the PRS series subwoofer.

At the heart of the Stage 4 system is the DEX-P99RS single CD tuner/digital media player, built to produce an extremely high level of sound quality, signal processing and media playback flexibility. The DEX-P99RS features a high-performance 32-Bit digital signal processor (DSP) that provides the signal processing power for dual (left and right) 31-band equalization, digital time alignment for all pre-amp outputs and a 4-way digital crossover network.
The powerful yet defined muscles behind the Stage 4 system are four high-performance, sound quality focused amplifiers: two full-range 4-channel models (the PRS-A900 with 50 Watts X 4 and the PRS-D4200F with 75 Watts X 4) along with two mono channel models (the PRS-D1200SPL with 500 Watts X 1 and the PRS-D1200M with 400 Watts X 1).

The PRS series speaker systems and the PRS series subwoofer in Stage 4 use advanced materials and design to produce natural, yet dynamic sound, enabling them to deliver every musical note with accuracy and fine detail. Two component speaker packages are available, the TS-C172PRS 6.75-inch and TS-C132PRS 5.25-inch, both consisting of a soft dome tweeter, high performance mid-woofer and an audiophile grade crossover network. The tweeter and mid-woofer of both component speaker packages feature oversized diaphragms for extended frequency response combined with neodymium motor structures to maximize installation flexibility. To complement the 4-way digital network capabilities of the DEX-P99RS head unit, the TS-S062PRS midrange speaker is designed to seamlessly integrate with the Stage 4 component speaker packages. The addition of the midrange allows a single driver to reproduce the critical mid-range frequencies, thus enhancing the linearity, staging, and cohesiveness of the overall sound. The TS-W252PRS 10-inch subwoofer utilizes a new 3-layer cone that features a unique combination of aramid fibers, polypropylene and glass fibers to create a strong, low mass and natural sounding subwoofer diaphragm material.

The
Pioneer Stage 4 reference system will be available between the months of March and June of 2010. Suggested retail price of Stage 4 products will range between $500 and $1500.
