Muscle Car Sounds.

Comp_Thumpr_logo copy.gif

There is nothing like the sound of a big V8 with a thumping muscle car cam. Comp Cams agrees with me. When Comp Cams surveyed their own CAM HELP customer service department they quickly realized that the most common question was "how can I give my car that mean sounding idle?" This prompted Comp Cams to create the Thumpr camshafts. The Thumpr Camshafts are a new series of retro-fit hydraulic roller camshafts designed for use in small & big block Chevy, Ford 351 Windsor and small block Chrysler engines that were originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts.

Comp's Thumpr cams open the exhaust valve early, have longer exhaust durations and increased intake and exhaust overlap to maximize the rough-idling sound without hurting power or streetability. Thumpr cams produce a rough, racy exhaust note with three cam grinds for each engine. Each grind produces slightly different power bands to match your engine combination. Not only do you get a great sound, but also increased power and the modern day drivability of a hydraulic roller camshaft.

THUMPR RETRO-FIT HYDRAULIC ROLLER CAMS

Retro-fit hydraulic roller designs for factory flat tappet equipped SBC & BBC, Ford 351 Windsor & Chrysler Small Block
• 3 unique grinds for each engine to fit all cruising & street performance needs
• Long exhaust duration and other grind characteristics produce a powerful, hard-hitting exhaust note
• Designed for use with the latest in valve train component advancements such as Beehive Valve Springs, Pro Magnum Roller Rockers and Magnum Pushrods

Are you ready to put a Thumpr cam in your car?

What will they think of next Clear Road Wheels... Opps. Too late. I guess they have sold all the wings and blue neon and LED stuff so now we can have Thump'r' cams. I want to release a CD of the engine sound then you can have the same thing without having to mod the motor. Cool idea, "what 'u' running dude?" Tune as desired - Big block chevy (Track 1), Small Block Ford (Track 2), Indy Ford (Track 3), all the way to Top Fuel (Track 15).

Sweet music.
