If you were at the 2007 SEMA show you probably caught a glimpse of an amazing blue and silver 1957 Chevy convertible just outside the convention entrance. This beautiful automobile was a project from Super Chevy Magazine, along with 44 top aftermarket companies, to support the men and women of the Armed Forces. The car was auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach Florida and netted a $130,000.00 donation to the Armed Forces Foundation and their hard work and support of our veterans.
Super Chevy, and its support companies, were up to the challenge for its second year and have built an American icon, a 1969 RS / SS Camaro. The beautiful
red and black Camaro was built in only 118 days and debuted at the Super Chevy Show at Route 66 Raceway on August 9th, 2008.
Complete details of the build as it progresses at ROUTE 66 MOTORSPORTS and the many parts used, supplied by the Project American Heroes sponsored performance companies, will be featured in Super Chevy Magazine beginning with the September 2008 issue.
Please support our men and women of the Armed Forces through efforts on their behalf by these companies and the Armed Forces Foundation.
