At the 2006 SEMA show in Las Vegas, I was fortunate enough to receive a last minute invitation to the
Claus Ettensberger Corp. (CEC) Collection Preview. "Design in Motion" was the theme of the show, sponsored by
Michelin Tires and
Strut, a manufacturer of premium crafted chrome grills. Structured like a fashion show, CEC had a series of automotive beauties roll out in front of the crowd showing off the best new
parts from Antera, Azev, AC Schnitzer, Brabus, Ottinger, TechArt and NOVITEC.The standout car of the night was the
NOVITEC Ferrari F430 featuring NOVITEC's full line of performance and styling accessories. Options from NOVITEC Rosso for the 430 include a front lip spoiler or front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear wing. Additional performance upgrades include: a 380mm brake system, adjustable coil over suspension, stainless steel sport exhaust, and center locking or 5-lug alloy wheels.
NOVITEC's key performance upgrade is their new twin-supercharger kit that upgrades the Ferrari's horsepower from 490hp to 636hp. At the CEC Collection Preview,
legendary CART Champion Paul Tracy drove this monster of a car on stage. The superchargers combined with the sport exhaust kit sounds amazing!
NOVITEC's supercharger kit includes:
• Two Rotrex compressors
• Separated oil-circuit
• Heat-insulated modified induction tract
• Water-cooled intercoolers with water pumps and additional radiators
• Reinforced drive belts with dynamic tensioners
• Fuel injectors
• Oil cooler
• Motronics ECU calibration
The bargain price of $55,000 will get you the NOVITEC twin compressor conversion and on-site installation by two NOVITEC technicians from Germany. Add the sport exhaust for $5,999 and the combined package will launch the F430 from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds.
